About Me

Wussup everybody!

My name is Vanessa Lam and I received a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) award to Kinmen, Taiwan for 2018-2019 school year.  I received a BA in humanities for teaching and a BS in mathematics in 2016. During college, I tutored and taught math to elementary and high school students. After graduating, I did a year of service in San Francisco teaching adults and/or seniors experiencing homelessness or very low income basic computer and smartphone skills. Although I have experience in teaching, I do not have any experience teaching English as a foreign language nor any official certification. I am excited and nervous as I spiritually and mentally (and physically) prepare myself to live in a country whose language I am not yet fluent. If you want to know more about me, subscribe to get updates on my blogs, leave comments, or contact me here.

Enjoy reading!

I post a new blog, you get an email:)
